Middle ear bones previously damaged from infection, trauma, cholesteatoma, surgery and other causes are replaced with man-made prostheses. Multiple techniques exist that need to be tailored to the individual case and anatomy. Any and or all of the middle ear bones may be replaced leading to hearing within the normal range. This delicate procedure gives excellent results in the majority of cases at a world-renowned Institute like CEI.

Miscellaneous

Several reconstruction prostheses have been designed by physicians of CEI and are used world-wide for middle ear reconstruction.
